Having a successful drug rehab experience is something we strive to provide at Best Drug Rehabilitation. See some of our success stories and graduations below.
Addiction rehabilitation center graduations are an iconic and essential part of the recovery process and the completion of any rehabilitation program. At Best Drug Rehabilitation, we hold a graduation ceremony every Friday night. Those former addicts who graduated the program that week get a chance to share their success stories with the rest of the clients and staff, too. Graduation from BDR is a big deal indeed, and it is the one time every week when the clients, staff, family members, and guests can all be seen gathered in one place.
Graduation gives our clients a chance to thank those who made a significant impact on their lives and their paths to recovery. Sometimes they will present a song, a poem, a story, or a presentation of some kind. Most of the graduates will offer words of encouragement to those who are still fighting through their addictions and share tips and advice. This method of sharing success and advice provides insight into what is needed to beat an addiction.
Some people are also concerned about the professional and social impact of addiction treatment, and they tend to be private about their addiction as a result of that fundamental and inherent fear and worry. Many people are afraid that if anyone finds out that they went to rehab, they’ll be looked at differently, judged, or even face professional consequences of some kind. However, our graduations are strictly private affairs. They are not televised or recorded in any way, and only those clients who agree to it or request it will have their speeches videotaped for their families. Privacy can be essential, but so is standing up there at the podium and announcing your final sobriety for all of your peers, friends, and family members to witness and to see.
Why We Do Graduation
We offer graduation for a lot of different reasons, but there are three that stand out the most:
- Everyone needs a chance to get closure on anything. An addition is no different. When someone is addicted to drugs or alcohol, he or she needs the opportunity to lash out at it one last time and give it the final boot by engaging in a graduation ceremony.
- Graduation is a way of saying thanks to those who helped the individual get to where she or she is today. This could be parents, family members, loved ones, friends, co-workers, and rehab staff, too. A lot of clients ask us to tape their speech so they can post it to social media and share it with everyone who was recognized during the speech whether they were present for the graduation ceremony or not. It is important to grant recognition and to give credit where credit is due, and recovering addicts do find a lot of peace of mind and happiness in doing just this.
- A graduation is a powerful tool for struggling addicts to see that the end is in sight, that there is a way to beat addiction, that others have done it, and that they can do it too. This does make clients feel better. Also, it gives those who are still working through the program the incentive, the zeal, and the willingness to improve themselves. Hearing about the success of others helps a person gain the strength and resolve they need to win the battle against addiction once and for all.
Best Drug Rehabilitation is Devoted to Your Successful Drug Rehab
Graduation is an iconic, memorable, and regularly present aspect to any successful rehabilitation center. It does not so much signify the end of one’s battle so much as it means the beginning of a new lifestyle and a new adventure into an entirely new realm of happiness in life after treatment. We are happy to offer this opportunity at Best Drug Rehabilitation. Our success is dependent on our client’s success, and we make every effort to ensure satisfying outcomes for everyone in our program.
