I’m Sue Miller. I’m an Occupational Therapist. I come in and I do Art Therapy Group two times a week here at BDR. Every day we focus on a particular topic. We paint, do collages, do some writing. So, depending; today’s class focused on their favorite age and why. We do a lot of kind of delving into why they are here, what their goals are for the future, and they are talking about these things without even kind of realizing it as they do their art work. So, a lot of them find it to be relaxing. I get a lot of repeat people from session to session. And it’s just a general way of getting the clients to identify emotions, talk about feelings, express themselves in a different way than just sitting and talking.

I think it’s just another benefit that BDR offers.
